Jenz Nilsson, the magazine’s editor-in-chief and project manager, says: “This feels great, and is further proof that we thought the right thing when we redesigned the magazine on behalf of Ericsson just over two years ago.”
The magazine is written and designed by JG Communication, and in less than one year it has received three awards for its editorial content and design. In 2009, Contact won the Guldbladet award for Best Redesign, and a few months later it received an American Ozzie Award for Best Use of Illustration.
According to the jury of the Swedish Association of Inhouse Editors, the magazine is very professionally designed, clearly profiled and very coherent, with clear strap lines, well designed graphics and a pleasant range of contrasting colors. The design is well thought out from cover to cover, and gives a generous and substantial feel to the magazine which, despite containing a lot of text, is never gray or heavy.
