Our businesses in Sweden and Finland are since many years both ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 certified. We have also been licensed to use the Nordic Swan ecolabel, on our products. Our printing houses in Sweden, Edita Västra Aros and Edita Bobergs, have their whole business operations labeled with the Swan. In 2008 Edita Västra Aros were also certified by the Forest Stewardship Council®, the certificate of responsible forestry. The products that follow the labeling requirements can be labeled as FSC® certified.
Climate neutral
Edita Group are also working towards becoming a climate neutral business, which means that we are working with acknowledged methods to measure and reduce our affect on the climate. Edita Bobergs and Edita Västra Aros have been climate neutral companies since Jan 1st 2008 and the other units will be in 2010.
To continue and sustain the commitment and knowledge of our employees, we are continuously working with education and information. To be able to make decisions with consideration of the environment we have to be educated. Hundreds of employees within Edita Group have done Miljökörkortet, environmental driver license during 2008 and 2009. And all employees, every single person, will have done it by the end of 2010. We are happy to be forerunners in environmental work in our branch and encourage other businesses to take further steps to protect the global environment. Today the environmental aspect often comes up for discussion in business meetings with customers and suppliers.
Product labeling with the Swan label and / or FSC® label
The Swan logotype can be downloaded from our website. You can also get logos from your sales contact, project leaders or from our prepress staff. Printed object have to meet specific requirements to get labeled with Swan.
Labeling printed objects with FSC® is possible if the requirements for the FSC® label are met. Requests for FSC labeling must be made in the proposal stage, as it is of outmost importance that the proper paper is used.
